 Tempe is just southeast of Phoenix and is best known as the home of Arizona State University. It sets on the banks of Tempe Town Lake which is a stunning backdrop to the ASU Sun Devil Football Stadium, home of the NCAA Football Insight Bowl.  Tempe Town Lake is a two-mile long urban lake created on the normally dry Salt River that features great jogging , non-motorized boating, canoing, small sail crafts and fishing. The area surrounding Town Lake has become an exploding concentration of existing and planned high rise luxury condominiums convenient to college professors and other professionals that work nearby.
Tempe Town Lake recreational park lies at the northern end of Mill Avenue which is the Old Town hub of Tempe where you can always find pedestrians enjoying the nightlife, restaurants, craft fairs, block parties and people-watching.
 Tempe is the most densely populated city in Arizona. That's primarily because of a larger concentration of college students requiring an abundance of centrally located rental homes, condos and apartment complexes. It is the center most city in the Metro Phoenix area and the gateway to its sister-cities of Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert and Apache Junction.
The real estate in the central area of Tempe features more mature and modest homes in neighborhoods that are often rented to the abundance of college students. The southern-most areas of Tempe which border the City of claim the more family-friendly suburban neighborhoods and larger homes.
