Arizona State University Real Estate Center
The objectives of the Arizona Real Estate Center (AREC) have been to serve as a focal point for research and educational projects of ASU faculty members, both in real estate and in allied disciplines throughout Arizona; to analyze and evaluate the Arizona real estate market on behalf of private, public, and governmental organizations; to conduct studies related to real estate, and to publish the results of those studies; and to assist in the development of real estate educational programs throughout Arizona that will enhance the professionalism and knowledge of those involved in the real estate industry.

Arizona Department of Real Estate
The Arizona Department regulates real estate within Arizona including Phoenix AZ. It approves and monitors pre-licensing instruction and testing and continuing education courses. It maintains oversight of approved schools to ensure the quality content of their courses, the competence of their instructors, and the quality and timeliness of the materials being taught.

The Department oversees the activities of licensees, investigates complaints against licensees and land developers, and participates in administrative hearings pertaining to their conduct. The Department also regulates the sale of subdivisions, unsubdivided lands, timeshares, and condominiums throughout the entire State of Arizona including the Greater Phoenix area which includes Phoenix AZ, Scottsdale, Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert, Glendale, Fountain Hills, Tempe, Peoria, Surprise, Buckeye, Paradise Valley, Carefree and all Valley of the Sun communities within Metropolitan Phoenix AZ.
